Master Merchant Systems (MMS) values the users of our software and ASP facilities (services). Your privacy and trust are very important to us. We recognize that you may be concerned about our collection, use, and disclosure of the personally identifiable information and sensitive financial details ("Personal Information” and “Financial Information") that we collect when you use the software and any other services offered through your contract ("MMS Services"). This Privacy Policy describes the information that we collect from you, how we collect this information, and what we do with it after we collect it. By using any and all MMS services you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. We may make changes to the Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by sending you an email, posting a notice on the home page of our Website (http://www.mmspos.com), or through direct postal mail. If you receive notification of a change in our Privacy Policy, you must review the new Privacy Policy carefully to make sure you understand our practices and procedures.
Personal Information.
We collect Personal Information that you provide to us, such as your name, company name, company mailing address, branch details, phone number, email address, credit card number or other banking details, financial information, technical configuration details. You may also provide to us historical data from previous POS or accounting packages for import into MMS software. MMS also maintains purchase history details for our clients.
Non-Personal Information.
Presently MMS does not obtain any non-personal information
Providing Information to Us.
We collect Personal Information from you when you provide it to us. For example, if you sign a contract with MMS, purchase a product, we may collect your name, company name, mailing address, telephone number, credit card number, and email address. We may collect your tax identification number, and other information that we request during the sales or configuration process, and any configuration information that you provide on your MMS installation details.
Communications with Us
If you communicate with us regarding MMS Services for purposes of configuration, training, consultation and support, we will collect any information that you provide to us in any such communication through email, fax, and telephone calls.
Analytic and Reporting Technologies
Like the operators of most services, we use analytic and reporting technologies to record Non-Personal Information such as usage statistics, load, bandwith usage, Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser software, operating system types, clickstream patterns, and the dates and times that the Website and the MMS Services are accessed. We also contract with several online partners to help manage, monitor and optimize our Website and the MMS Services and to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising, communications and how clients use our services. To do this, we may use web beacons and cookies.
Personal Information.
We use Personal Information primarily for our own internal purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the MMS Services, fulfilling requests for information, producing and shipping the products that you order, for configuration requests, training, consultations, and providing customer support. For example, if you contact our Support Department with an issue, we may use the information that we learn from assisting you to assist other clients reporting a similar issue. Similarly, if you sign up to receive a MMS newsletter, we will use the email address you provide to send you the newsletters.
Analytic and Reporting
We use Analytic and Reporting detail to track the use of the Websites, newsletters, and the MMS Services and for other internal purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving the MMS Services and the Website.
Disclosure to Successors
We may disclose your Personal Information to any successor-in-interest of ours, such as a company that acquires us. In the event MMS goes through a business transition, such as a merger or acquisition by or with another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred. We also contract with several online partners to help manage, monitor and optimize our Website and the MMS Services and to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising, communications and how visitors use the Website. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent such third parties from disclosing your Personal Information, except for the purpose of providing the services in question. MMS will obtain non-disclosure agreements (NDA) for third party contracts.

We will disclose reporting details, in aggregate form, to potential strategic partners, advertisers, investors, customers, and others. You may not opt-out of the sharing of this information. However, it cannot be easily used to identify you personally.

We may use cookies to track your use of the Website and the MMS Services, provide you with a more personalized user experience, and to allow you to login and begin use of the MMS Services automatically when you visit the Website.
A web beacon is an often-transparent graphic image, usually no larger than a 1x1 pixel that is placed on a web page or in an e-mail that is used to monitor the behaviour of the user visiting the Website or receiving the e-mail.
Cookies and web beacons used by MMS and our online partners are not linked to Personal Information. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies and web beacons by MMS and our online partners only and does not cover the use of cookies or web beacons by any other third party or advertiser.
Personal Information
Whenever we obtain your Personal Information, we use commercially reasonable efforts to protect it from unauthorized access or disclosure. All MMS staff are bound by confidentiality, non-competition, and non-disclosure agreements. All MMS contract workers are bound by confidentiality, non-competition, and non-disclosure agreements. MMS uses secured storage for all confidential details pertaining to you and your business. However, we are not insurers of the security of your Personal Information. Accordingly, we assume no liability for any disclosure of data due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control.
MMS Services: Content.
The content that you store, post, or transmit on or through the MMS Services, such as message postings, storefront details and configurations, financial details, etc., may be accessed by various members within your organization. It is your responsibility to configure and maintain the appropriate access controls within MMS services to ensure that the appropriate level of access is provided for individuals within your company. MMS is not responsible for the actions of others. Therefore, you should use care in communicating and configuring the access controls within our products and services.
MMS Services: Support, Configuration, Training, Consulting.
As an MMS client, you will require initial configuration, training, and ongoing support. You may also be a user of our Plan or Inventory Management services, which allows us to provide you with updated plan and hardware offerings from various eligible 3rd party service providers. In order to provide this suite of services to you, MMS utilizes it’s own set of clerk codes within your data to perform maintenance, training, and support. Unless otherwise instructed, by accepting this policy and using the MMS services you agree that it is acceptable for MMS to possess this level of access to your data. If you do not agree, please email privacy@mmspos.com and restrict whichever permissions you wish from the MMS clerk codes. Please note that restricting permissions and access may limit our ability to assist you in the event of an emergency, support issue, etc.
Passwords and Obtaining Confidential Info from MMS.
As an MMS client, you will be assigned a set of usernames and passwords. Maintaining the integrity and security of these passwords is your responsibility and MMS accepts no liability for their misuse. If you have any changes within your organization (i.e. termination) that require password changes, you must notify us as soon as possible during business hours though the following fax procedure. You may also require access to our download page, support site, and other resources. It is your responsibility to request this from us prior to it being required. Requests outside our business hours cannot be honoured. Requests must be faxed to our confidential fax number on company letterhead and authorized/signed by a primary contact the MMS has on your file.
You can obtain a copy of and request that we correct errors in your Personal Information by emailing us at privacy@mmspos.com. For your protection, you will be required to provide proof of your identity to obtain a copy of your Personal Information (Requests must be faxed to our confidential fax number on company letterhead and authorized/signed by a primary contact the MMS has on your file). If your Personal Information changes you may correct or update your Personal Information and/or your account by emailing us at privacy@mmspos.com.
The security of both your Personal Information and your data is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. MMS uses industry standard auditable access controls and change management processes to ensure that both physical and electronic access and changes to your data are tracked, appropriate and within the scope of this privacy policy.
You may be able to access third party websites directly from the MMS Websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply when you access third party websites. We cannot control how third parties may use Personal Information you disclose to them, so you should carefully review the privacy policy of any third party website you visit before using it or disclosing your Personal Information to its provider.
We provide you the opportunity to opt-out of having your Personal Information used for certain purposes. For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you should alert us at privacy@mmspos.com.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletters and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at privacy@mmspos.com.
If we disclose your Personal Information to a third party in a manner that is not set forth in this Privacy Policy you will be notified so that you can make an informed choice about sharing your Personal Information with that third party.
